How to Get Your Kitchen Ready Before the Remodel Crew Arrives
The path from the front door to the kitchen matters before install day. Narrow hallways and tight stairwells can make slab delivery difficult if the route isn’t cleared first. We confirm the delivery path at the measure visit — but you’ll want the space clear on the day the crew arrives.
Before we show up, take care of these steps:
- Clear everything off countertops and out of the cabinets below the sink
- If your remodel includes a sink replacement, arrange for plumbing disconnect in advance
- Protect hardwood floors along the delivery path from the entry to the kitchen
- Remove anything from the hallway or stairwell that would block a slab carry
- If you’re in a Chicago condo or multi-unit building, confirm contractor hours and elevator use with building management before we schedule install day.
